Freddie Mercury personality type is ESFP, and I believe he would be an ENFP, although we do not have a clear picture of how his personality would have developed.
I think that what we do know is that he was a very creative person, and music was his first love. He had an intuitive sense of musical composition and had a developed mastery of all instruments without having to be introduced to them first.
It is believed by many fans that he was also an introvert, although this is unconfirmed. The only real evidence of this comes from Mercury’s parents, who said that he had trouble making friends, and the fact that he was shy.
His shyness may have caused him to withdraw into himself, but I believe that it also fueled his creativity, which is what the ENFP is known for. I think that he was also very aware of the world around him, and like the ENFP, he became obsessed with understanding the workings of the world around him. He wanted to understand people and make them happy, but this may have led him to be misunderstood at times.
What was also evident about Mercury is his enormous ability to empathize with others.
