I am going to be talking a lot about work and careers for this blog post, but I want to make it clear that I don’t mean ESFJs should ONLY work in the workplace. It’s true that ESFJs make excellent people to work with, but they can also make excellent people to work for.
Work is a central part of a person’s life, and ESFJs are no different. They love their jobs and know that a job well done gives them a sense of purpose and achievement. They enjoy working with people and being around people, and they want to feel fulfilled in their work. ESFJs will want to be paid fairly for their work, but they don’t necessarily expect much in terms of promotion or advancement. They are happiest working with others who are equally ambitious, and they usually don’t seek out much in the way of awards or recognition when the work is done.
