He is also a consultant to the U.S. Department of Defense, and he has done extensive research on giftedness. In this episode of Daring Greatly, he and Elsa discussed the traits of ENTPs and how those traits might contribute to their success and drive.
Gardner defined the ENTP as "the inventor," "the doer," and "the scientist." He said that these are not necessarily good words to describe someone, because they don't always describe positive traits. But he said that they are a better description than "extrovert" or "introvert." He explained that ENTPs are often creative, but they are more likely to be creative in areas that are not necessarily socially valued.
