Dark Samus personality type is ISTP, and I was surprised and delighted to find that this personality type shares some very similar characteristics with Samus Aran.
I'm not going to go through all of the traits of the Samus Aran personality type, as you can read about them in my article on ISTPs (page 3). But I will focus on the most important ones.

Something I found very interesting is that I've found that Samus Arans are almost always ISTPs.
Dark Samus was the evolution of the Metroid Prime, formed when the creature stole Samus' Phazon Suit upgrade. She was an unstable yet disturbingly intelligent monster whose only goal was to spread and consume Phazon. She came close to total galactic domination after using Phaaze and the Space Pirates to further her agenda.
