Homura is a cheerful and friendly girl, whose hobbies include being a photographer, cooking, and being a detective. Homura also has a very strong sense of justice. She is kind and compassionate, and will go as far as to save someone's life on her own, even if it means putting herself in danger. She is also very passionate and dedicated towards her goals, but at the same time, she is not above being a bit too strict and stubborn. Homura has a tendency to get annoyed by people who are normally lazy and complacent, but this doesn't mean she is averse to helping others. She can also get annoyed by other people who, to put it in Homura's own words, "take too long to decide things". However, she is quite understanding and patient towards those who genuinely need help, even if she is unable to help them.
Homura has a strong sense of justice, and often tries to help people (especially those in need of magical girls like herself) due to her desire for justice.
