I don’t have a strong need to be liked by others. I’m not a people-pleaser. I don’t have a “please-me” attitude, or a “please-him” attitude, or a “please-her” attitude. I don’t have those kinds of interpersonal needs.
I think that many INTJs have a very strong need to be independent, to live life on their own terms and do their own thing. They want their independence and they want to make their own decisions, and they don’t want to be told what to do. They won’t be swayed by others. They won’t be swayed by what other people think about them. They want to make up their own minds about things.
