I’ve recently been re-reading several of my favorite books written by INTPs, and I found it interesting to note the type of people they are.
Quoted from David Keirsey’s Please Understand Me II, page 164:
“Some INTPs are described as being ‘quiet, intense, and austere.’ According to Jung, this is because INTPs usually ‘have a highly developed intuition, which allows them to perceive the inner state of their associates and to follow with remarkable accuracy the course of their thoughts; but they will hardly ever express this intuitive aptitude verbally.'”
I’ve often wondered if that’s true or not, and if INTPs like to communicate with the world at large or prefer to do so in coded code.
I find it interesting that David Keirsey talks about INTPs having a highly developed intuition. I think that’s probably true for most INTPs. I also agree with Jung’s statement about INTPs not communicating their intuitions verbally.
