The first thing I’m going to show you is a technique that I call the “Set-Up.” This is a term that was coined by a friend of mine who specializes in asking questions to emotionally engage people.
Using a technique called a “Set-Up,” you can ask a question to emotionally engage your audience. It doesn’t have to be a personal question. You can pick a topic that interests you and ask yourself about it. That could be something as simple as “What is your favorite song?” or “What is your favorite sports team?”
The techniques of asking questions are so important to entertaining people because they allow you to get inside of your audience’s head.
I’m going to show you how to use the set-up technique, but I’m also going to show you how to use some other techniques that will help you to entertain people.
