I think most of the INFPs I know are either extroverts or introverts who are really good at masking their introversion. They are not shy in the least about getting up in front of a crowd of people or talking with them one-on-one, they are just more comfortable in small groups of their friends. They are not afraid of anyone, but they are not interested in boring small talk. They are not intimidated by people who are not like them, including extroverts. They don’t take it personally when they don’t get invited to a party because the invitation list was already full, and neither do they take it personally when they aren’t invited to a party because they were never asked in the first place. But they will, if they feel like it, be very engaged and interested in that party and will enjoy it and feel comfortable there even if they do not fit into the usual clique. If you want to be friends with an INFP, you should know that we tend to talk very softly and we do not like to interrupt each other.
