Dark personality type is INFP, not INTP
I'm just kind of confused as to what is going on here, and why some people are off the wall claiming that the INFP is not an INTP.
Firstly, there's no such thing as a "Dark" personality type (at least, not one that I've ever heard of). Personality types are based on preference and therefore there is no such thing as a "dark" type. There's also no such thing as a "light" type; we're all internally neutral and therefore we all prefer one over the other (one of my favourite philosophers, Arthur Schopenhauer, called this "the will to life").
As for the claim that the INTP isn't an INFP, this is simply false. Yes, there is a lot of overlap between the two types; however, the INFP is the one type that seems to have a really unique and unique role in the world.
INTPs are known for being brilliant, creative and iconoclastic thinkers. They have a tendency to have a lot of interests outside of their specific field of expertise, which can lead them down some interesting paths.
