For those that know me, I've always been an extremely active and social person. I've certainly had my share of close friends, but I've always been a bit of an introvert at heart. At the same time, I have a strong need to please those that I'm close to, or even people I don't know, if I see them in distress. I have a strong desire to help others and to make things better for them.
I've been told time and time again that I'm a "people person". I've also been told that I'm "a good listener", which is probably true, but in my mind, these are not the same thing. While I don't want to go out of my way to hurt people, I am not above using the slightest opportunity to make their lives better. In the workplace, this is the kind of person you want to work with and around.
