As an ESFJ, I’m hard-pressed to say what my least-favorite moment in Major League Baseball was. Most of the time, when something happens in either professional or collegiate sports, I can find something positive to take away from it. But, sadly, my least-favorite moment was the major brawl between the Dodgers and Giants at Dodger Stadium in 2000.
The brawl that took place in the bottom of the ninth inning of an eventual 3-2 Los Angeles win that day led to my most favorite moment in baseball thus far, which happened later that year. With the pennant on the line in Game 6 of the National League Championship Series, my most favorite moment in baseball was when my Dodgers won the World Series in five games against the New York Yankees.
Thomas Charles Lasorda (September 22, 1927 – January 7, 2021) was an American professional baseball pitcher and manager. He managed the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1976 through 1996. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame as a manager in 1997.
