When he’s in the dugout, he’s very reserved. But when he comes to the plate, that’s when you see the fire. He’s a very fiery person. But I think he’s a guy who doesn’t really have the confidence that he can control and direct his own destiny. He needs somebody to tell him, “Hey, you can do this. You can be the best.”
I think that personality type really plays into his style of play. He just needs somebody to tell him, “You’re going to have another hit today. You’re going to hit it to right field for sure.” That’s exactly what we had with him today. You could see it in his face when he was coming up there to bat in the first inning. You could see that fire in his eyes.

Trea Vance Turner (born June 30, 1993) is an American professional baseball shortstop for the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played for the Washington Nationals. He played college baseball at North Carolina State. The San Diego Padres selected Turner in the first round of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft and traded him to the Nationals in 2015.
