Yoan Moncada personality type is ISFP, the same as Juan Soto.
I’ve written about Moncada in the past. He’s an interesting player who could have a lot of power once he turns pro, but I’m not sure he’s ready for the majors. I think he has a lot of growing to do before he’s ready to be a big-time prospect.
Moncada is good in the batter’s box, but he’s not comfortable with his power right now, drawing unintentional walks in bunches when he gets out of sync. He has serious holes in his swing that he has to fix before he can become a player who projects for average power.
Moncada will need to make some adjustments to his swing in order to hit better, but he has very good bat speed and could develop into a middle-of-the-order hitter with some adjustments. If he can make improvements with his swing, he could develop into one of the more dangerous players in the minor leagues.
Moncada does have some injury concerns, but the Yankees are helping him get into shape and they know how to get players to improve.
