Silco personality type is INTJ, or, as it is commonly called, the High Functioning Introvert. This is not to be confused with the quieter, more introverted INTP.
I once knew a woman who was a very high-functioning introvert. She was a very good listener and a very caring person, but she was unable to play well with others. She was an INTJ and had difficulty being alone in a room with more than one person. She felt that she had to be team leader or else she would be useless. She stepped into leadership roles in which she wasn’t comfortable, and she took on too much responsibility for people she didn’t know well. She failed at building teams because she didn’t trust people and was too fast to judge them.
I see introverts who are high-functioning as people who are usually smart, but they are so wrapped up in themselves that they miss out on the social opportunities that many of us take for granted.
This is why I don’t think introverts are necessarily better or worse than extroverts.
