I don't know exactly what it is, but as a kid I just always had a desire to read and learn about different subject matters. I would spend hours reading or researching anything I could get my hands on.
I started reading at a very young age. It began with the books my dad would buy for me, which consisted of a lot of comic books and a lot of James Patterson. Then I would read whatever I could get my hands on.
My mom put me in school early. I was in kindergarten at 5 years old and by 8 I was reading at a very advanced level. So I never really did anything else but read for fun.
When I was in middle school, my teachers would always put me into the advanced classes because I was so good at reading. I would get all A's and B's on my report cards and my teachers always told me how smart I was.
The problem was that I had no interest in doing anything else at all. I just wanted to read more.
I skipped high school entirely and went to college 2 weeks after graduating high school.
