I am not a horror geek. I am not a fan of gore or gross-out films. I am not a fan of horror films that are just stupid. I am a fan of films that are smart, well-made and have a clear message that is delivered through masterfully crafted horror. I am a horror film fan; I like scary films with a sense of reality and truth behind them. I am not a movie critic. I am not trying to be one. It’s not my job to review films or write about them. However, I do want to share some thoughts about some recent films that have scared me. All of these films are great films, but for different reasons, and all of them make me think about their messages and the message they’re sending the world.
