Philip Wylie personality type is ESFP, but that's another story.
But all of this is completely irrelevant to the point I am trying to make, which is that I have no right to judge people's ability to give, or to appreciate and accept, gifts. And I do have the right to be upset when people don't reciprocate gifts freely that they have been given to them, and I have the right to express myself on the matter.
This brings us back to my earlier question: why should I care what other people give? Why should I care if they give gifts?
Because it is "what's in it for me". It's just a different way of expressing a selfish motive for wanting gifts.
If I want something from you and you refuse to give it to me, then it means that I can either continue to try and get it from you, or I can accept the fact that you don't want to give it to me.
That doesn't mean I can't try and get it from someone else. And if you don't know how to give a gift in the first place, then there's no reason why you should give me one.
