INTPs are the most independent, thinking types in the MBTI, and this is probably why I find INTPs to be some of my favorite people (I’m not sure I can count myself in that group, but I definitely have a soft spot for them).
In addition to being my favorite type, INTPs are also the most likely type to be diagnosed with ADD or ADHD.
While I’m no expert on these types, I have a couple of things to share on this topic. It’s worth noting that while everyone has a bit of ADHD in them, it tends to be a lot more pronounced in INTPs (and sometimes INFPs).
First of all, INTPs are very hard on themselves. They want to get things right. They want to be perfect. They want to know why something worked or failed. They want to be able to explain it, and they want to feel like they have control over their environment.
Second, they are really hard on themselves.
