“My favorite part of playing Austin has been the creative freedom of being able to create a character while staying true to myself,” said Baumgartner. “I’m not sure that I could have ever imagined that I would get to play a character that I didn’t actually create, but this whole experience has given me so much insight into my own personality. Being able to imagine someone else’s personality so fully, and then being able to use that to create a character with so many nuances, has been an incredibly fun exercise.”
The role of Austin is Baumgartner’s first major acting role. He has worked in theater since he was a child, but he has never done any television before. He is excited for the opportunity to flex his acting muscles on a larger platform.
