Misophonia personality type is ISFP, and that is why I am a social butterfly.
The research is interesting, however it does not address the unique situation of those with misophonia.
It is also very common for ISFPs to have misophonia, which makes it extremely difficult to find research aimed at ISFPs.
I have written about my own struggles with misophonia, and the research here does not address those struggles.
It does not address the unique situations of ISFPs, who are often in social situations where their misophonia is triggered. It addresses the general struggles of all sufferers of misophonia.
“If you want to talk about anything that is common among ISFPs, you’ll find that this is a very common thread throughout our lives.”
I’m not sure that I agree with that statement. I don’t think this general statement is true at all. I am an ISFP, but I have no such struggles.
I do experience misophonia in my everyday life, but I do not experience it in the way that the other ISFPs discussed in the study did.
