As I grew older, I found myself in some very unhealthy relationships with men. The relationships didn’t last very long, but they were some of the most damaging relationships of my entire life. I had a lot of trust issues and deep-seated fears of abandonment. I had a lot of issues with alcohol and drugs. I spent a lot of time in therapy, and was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).
The doctor who diagnosed me told me that my obsessive compulsive traits would probably get worse, and she was very correct.
