In 1926, Rudolf decided to study law. He began to study law at the University of Frankfurt in 1928. In 1931 he graduated and began working at a lawyer’s office in Darmstadt. However, his father had been taken to a concentration camp for being Jewish, and Rudolf felt he could not stay there.
