Rudolf Eichmann was born on April 11, 1906 in Solingen, Germany, to a Jewish family. His father was a successful merchant. At the age of 17, Rudolf joined his father’s business, and in 1925 he moved to Berlin where he met his future wife, Edith, who was 14 years older than him.
In 1926, Rudolf decided to study law. He began to study law at the University of Frankfurt in 1928. In 1931 he graduated and began working at a lawyer’s office in Darmstadt. However, his father had been taken to a concentration camp for being Jewish, and Rudolf felt he could not stay there.
