Marnie personality type is ENFJ, with a little ESFP thrown in.
This is where I get the feeling that the creators of the show got confused between the functions of the J/P or S/N model. The J/P model makes it easier for people to understand the function on an introverted-extroverted standpoint, but they do not take into account for the fact that people can be on both sides of the function (J on one side, P on the other) or that some people are more dominant on one side of the function than the other side. It’s a bit confusing, really, so if someone were to explain this to me I’d probably have a hard time grasping it.
People with this personality type are aware of the difference between their dominant and auxiliary functions, and will tend to use them at a different level of consciousness. They are less likely to use their auxiliary functions when they are in an environment where they can be “seen”, and will often switch from one function to the other when they feel it is appropriate.
