Eric Demetri Dickerson (born September 2, 1960) is a former college and professional American football player who was a running back in the National Football League (NFL) for eleven seasons during the 1980s and 1990s. Dickerson played college football for the SMU Mustangs of Southern Methodist University and was recognized as an All-American.
