My husband and his siblings are all ISFJ. The five of them have been together their entire lives, and their parents have always done a great job of parenting them – making sure they worked hard, had good manners and were never alone. They were expected to do their homework and do well in school.
My husband was the oldest and the first one to go off to college. He did fairly well, but he was also the first one to get a girlfriend. He was pressured into telling her he loved her, which I believe hurt him in a way that he didn’t realize at the time.
He agreed to go on a date with her because he was lonely and tired of being alone. He didn’t know she had just broken up with someone else, and he thought he was the only one for her. This led to their first fight.
