(As an aside, I'm not saying that you're not ENTP, I'm just saying that there are some people who are more neurotic than others. There are plenty of neurotic INTPs and ENTPs, so it's not a slam on you.)
My wife has a more neurotic personality type than my own (INFJ), and she also has a much more neurotic way of dealing with issues than I do. For example, if we go to the beach in the summer, I will enjoy sand between my toes -- she will take sand between her toes and scream bloody murder. For me, it's a "you can't keep me out of the water" kind of thing. For her, it's a "I can't trust you to have your head in the water" kind of thing.
If you're trying to work on your neurosis, try to find activities that are less neurotic than the ones you already do. I find that meditation is generally less neurotic than obsessing over things in my head.
