Early Life and Education
Brett was born in Dallas, Texas and grew up in nearby Plano. He went to Plano West High School, where he was a star on his high school’s football team. At the age of 15, he was voted Most Athletic Player of the Year.
After high school, he played football for a year at Oklahoma State University before transferring to Baylor University in Waco, Texas to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He was a three-year starter for the Baylor Bears football team, starting as a wide receiver and then moving to quarterback.
