I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who has been extremely disappointed with the way the movie was handled. The movie was supposed to be a complete reboot. A new interpretation of the story that would also provide a fresh take on the iconic characters. Instead, it feels like a rehash of the old Star Wars, and a step backwards from Star Trek, a franchise that’s been going strong for fifty years.
Now, I have to admit that I know very little about the original Star Wars trilogy. I know that they were somewhat popular when I was a kid, and that Star Wars was a major pop culture landmark that’s been around since the 1960’s. And because of this, I can kind of see how many fans have been disappointed with the new movie.
In the new movie, the Imperial Forces are under the rule of a man named Grand Admiral Thrawn. Thrawn is a ruthless and cunning military leader who, in a way, is a darker version of Darth Vader.
