Ikta Solork personality type is INTP, and I'm a definite INTP, but that's not the end of the world, and not everything in the book is relevant to this discussion.
I have been trying to get my head around INTPs from a non-INTP's perspective, and since I'm a completely different type, I'm having a hard time getting a handle on it. I've been reading a lot of posts in this forum about how much people dislike the personality types that have been described. I feel that this is a bit unfair, since there are whole groups of people who don't like these types for a variety of reasons.
I don't think what I'm going to say will be popular in here, but it's something I feel strongly about, and I need to say it.
I believe INTPs are misunderstood. They are not suffering from a lack of self-esteem, because they do not have one. They are suffering from a lack of knowledge. In my opinion, the best way to understand INTPs is to look at them as actors. Think of them as people who assume the roles that they feel most comfortable with, and then play the role the best they can.
