    INTJ

    INTJ (5w6)

The Professor personality type is INTJ, whose ‘J’ stands for Judgement. The most common personality in the whole world.

I have always been puzzled by the fact that an ‘S’-type person like me, who was so self-controlled, successful and focused, should be so easily manipulated into doing something that he really didn’t want to do.

It is clear to me now, from research and from personal experience, that my personality type is a prime example of a very rare combination: a highly-developed Judgement type who also has a strong Sensing function.

This combination shows up as someone with a clear and strong vision of what is right or wrong in life, but who can be easily persuaded to do wrong.

I guess it is the Judgement function which causes us to be so morally certain in our beliefs, while the Sensing function can lead us to believe that something is right because it feels right. And if it feels right, then it must be right.

So it is easy for the Sensing function to lead us to do the bad things that we know are wrong, without thinking about them.
