Every single time we meet, she surprises me with her incredible insight and ability to cut through the crap and get to the heart of what I'm really thinking and feeling. And, in turn, it's like she's giving me a mirror and asking me how I feel about what she sees in me. The feedback is always spot-on and always validating. She knows when I'm hiding something, when I'm trying to be something I'm not, and when I'm not even capable of being genuine. And she's never failed to call me on my bullshit—whether it be in a professional or personal setting.
I know she's concerned about my perpetual struggle to find my place in this world, and I can see in her eyes that she's worried about me and what I'll do next. (She's also worried about what I'll do next, and what she'll do next, and pretty much everything else.) It's clear that she has her sights set on me, but I'm holding back.
