As an INFP, I can say from experience that my type has a strong ethical bent and is not satisfied with “good enough” solutions. The INFPs are all about being idealistic, for better or worse (They seem to gravitate towards the more idealistic elements of a situation). This is why my type tends to have a hard time with “toxic masculinity”, because they are very concerned with the impact of their actions, their words, and their decisions.
INFPs generally have a hard time with toxic masculinity because they struggle to see their own idealism as toxic. They view themselves as positive, optimistic, and good-hearted and therefore they struggle to understand why they feel such vitriolic anger toward people who they perceive to be toxic or evil.
This is a hard concept to grasp when you are struggling with the same issues. You are probably saying to yourself, “Why is it that the masculine actors can just be themselves and get away with it, while I can’t seem to be a good person without being called a bad one.”
