Probably the most famous ENTPs of all time is Carl Jung. Jung is a personal hero of mine and I absolutely love his theories on personality type. He believed in the Myers-Briggs theory and used it to explain psychological dynamics in his book, Psychological Types. While he recognized that there were four personality types, he did not believe that there was a perfect match for every type. He believed that each person had their own unique mental framework, which was best described by an archetype. The Myers-Briggs types are one of the best ways to describe this way of thinking, because it uses a word association test. A person has a word or a set of words that describe what they are like. This word or set of words is called an indicator. You then take the indicator and compare it with a list of words that describe your type.
