I wrote an article a while back that explored the INFP personality type and it was very well received. In this article I will explore INFP’s relationship to depression.
INFPs are some of the most creative and idealistic people you will ever meet. They have a big heart and will work harder than anyone else to make a difference in the lives of others. This is a great quality, especially if you are in a field that requires a lot of creativity.
One thing that has been widely overlooked about the INFP personality type is that they are extremely vulnerable to depression. They are extremely sensitive to criticism. A simple observation or a comment can lead them into a state of depression.
So, if you know an INFP, you know what I am talking about!
Like all other personality types, INFPs can be diagnosed as depressed. However, it is important not to diagnose an INFP with depression. This is not something they need to be diagnosed with.
