Tahir personality type is ESTP, so he is a mixture of the two. But, I have to say, I can relate to ESTP’s desire for freedom and to push boundaries. In the beginning of the book, Tahir is a little older than I am, so I can relate to his excitement of getting away from his parents and living with his older brother. I also like how he changed after he met Fatiha, and how he became more understanding of what it means to love another person.
I’m not sure if this is a good book for younger readers, but it is safe for middle graders. The content is not very mature, but there is some adult language that will be uncomfortable for younger readers.
Overall, this novel was enjoyable. It had some interesting plot twists, and I enjoyed reading about Tahir and Fatiha’s journey of growing up. If you’re looking for an interesting book about friendship and love, you should check out this one.
