"I was a normal kid," Suárez said. "I liked to play, I liked to eat, I liked to train. I did all the normal things any kid does. But at some point, I decided I wanted to be a footballer.
"I had an older brother, Fernando, who was like a second father to me. He was training with Nacional de Montevideo when he was 17 and he said to me: 'If we can get you into Nacional's youth system we can make a football player out of you.'
"I was about 10, and we got into Nacional's youth system and all that happened in a year."
Suárez then proceeded to go on to become one of the best strikers in the world during his stint at Ajax.
