The UCh case study began in 2008 when a female student who was studying in her last year at the university approached Dr. Barbara Sommer, a lecturer at the university’s Department of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Sommer had previously studied with this student and had been surprised by her achievements and unconventional personality type. The student had already completed a PhD degree in psychology in Germany, and had been a lecturer at universities in Chile and Germany. She had worked as a researcher at universities, and she had published eight books, three of which had been bestsellers.
