Lee Jiwon personality type is ENFJ, the most common personality type in Korea. Here is a case that makes me doubt whether the model is accurate. I’ve added a few comments below.
I was following the threads on /r/Korea and found a case that made me think that the model of Myers-Briggs typology might be inapplicable to Koreans. I’ll summarize the case below, but see this blog post for the whole story.
A high schooler posted a comment that he liked a girl for a year, but she only liked him back for the first month. The girl had been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and she was apparently angry because he had not yet fallen in love with her.
The poster sought help from a psychiatrist, and after many sessions of therapy over a year, he decided to break up with her. He then posted a comment on Reddit saying that he had broken up with her because he saw how she was treating other people, and that “she had turned into a monster”.
I found this to be a very sad story.
