Eric Brooks "Blade" personality type is ISTP, the "spark" type. ISTPs often seem like "one of the guys" or "just like you." These are types that may not be tied to a specific place, but they are tied to a type of energy that is very much tied to their energy. One of the things that I find that is very interesting is that ISTPs are very much the "natural born leaders" in the group. They are natural born leaders. It may be that they are more able to understand what you are talking about. They are not as good at communicating what they are thinking. They are basically doing it for you.
INTPs are not natural born leaders. They are more likely to be seen as the "quiet" type, the one who is always thinking... who is always mulling things over... who is always looking at their feet or looking out into space. They are probably not as good at small talk as the other types.
This is just a generalization, but if you are an INFP, you are probably not as good at the social interaction aspect of it.
