In 1967, Robertson joined the Band, which was made up of Levon Helm, Garth Hudson and Rick Danko. In 1968, Robertson left the Band and started another band called Robbie Robertson and the Tyla Gang. He would later join the Band again in 1971, where he stayed for five years. During this time, Robertson performed with the Band on their famous album, "The Band," which received two Grammy Awards in 1974 and 1975.
