Leader (Five-Man Band) personality type is ENFJ, or the Idealist. This is the first of the extraverted functions to show up in the MBTI. To understand this function, think of ENFJ as the star quarterback of the football team. He sets his team up for success by calling the plays, calling out his teammates for their good plays, and getting everyone to focus on “the process” instead of “the result.” He wants everyone to succeed, and the ENFJ is ready to lead them to victory. The ENFJ is not always comfortable being the leader, however, because he’s more comfortable following than leading. The ENFJ doesn’t like to take control, but he wants to take charge. He may try to “get things done” before he’s ready, but he does it because he cares about his team.
