    Hewitt is a fictional character and the main antagonist of the first three Texas Chainsaw Massacre films, and a supporting character of the fourth. He is portrayed by actor and musician René Auberjonois. He is an insurance salesman who kidnaps and tortures his clients before killing them. He frequently appears as a guest on the Howard Stern Show.

    Hewitt has been described as a "psychopathic killer" and as "the ultimate Leatherface", as well as "one of the most deranged, violent, and sadistic movie villains of all time". He was named one of the "100 Most Memorable Villains of All Time" by the American Film Institute and is frequently listed among the greatest villains of all time.

    Hewitt is a master of disguise and wears a mask and a long coat to hide his identity. He is described as working for a local funeral home owned by his mother's boyfriend, Samuel Loomis (played by actor Gunnar Hansen).
