The other reason is probably because there is less of an emphasis on individualism in South Korea. This is also something that is unique to South Korea in terms of other East Asian countries. The stereotype of the Asian girl is that she dresses up a lot and has a lot of accessories, likes to take pictures of herself and is very much a group member.
So the fact that these women are more collectivist and not as self-centered as their male counterparts means that they do not have as much of a need for self-expression as men. Because of this, I cannot say for sure that these women are more introverted than men, but I can say that they are definitely less extroverted than men.
