Flash is the second son of Harry and Mary Thompson, born on Christmas Eve in 1986. He has one sister, May (born 1987). Flash's younger brother, Michael (born 1990), was kidnapped by his father on Christmas Day 1991, and was not seen again. On Christmas Eve 1997, Flash's father died in an explosion at the Thompson family home. Flash's mother, Mary, has since remarried to a man named "Tom", who is a bully to all of the Thompson children. Flash has so far only had contact with his mother on one occasion. Flash's personality is based on the personality of Peter Parker, the Spider-Man in the Marvel Comics. A trait of Flash's that he shares with Spider-Man is his fear of being hit by cars. This fear is based on the real life superhero who shares the same powers as the fictional character.
