Lauren T. Fite was born in Miami, Florida on September 2, 1983 to parents Cindy (née Fite) and John P. Fite. Fite has two younger siblings, John Jr. and Jenna. She grew up in Plantation, Florida, where she sang in local productions of Beauty and the Best and Annie Get Your Gun. She attended the ballet school of the Miami City Ballet.

Fite began her acting career starring in the ABC Family miniseries The Nine Lives of Chloe King (2007) as Zoey.
