ISFJs are quiet, reserved, and traditional, and are very loyal to their families. They are often very socially awkward, and tend to seek the company of others when it is safe to do so. ISFJs are often very kind, loyal, and considerate, and they are often seen as the “class clown” or the “teacher’s pet”. They have a hard time making decisions, and they often have a hard time asking for help because they are afraid of being weak. They also have an inferior function (Se) and an inferior tertiary function (Si). This can lead to an inferior function “specialty” (Fe) because they will not use their dominant function (Ni). This can lead to the use of the inferior function as a coping mechanism, which is called a “specialized coping style.”
ISFJs usually do not want to hurt anybody and would prefer to avoid conflict whenever possible, but sometimes conflict is unavoidable.
