Amy Gillis personality type is ENFP, a rare and rarer type, and she is a rare individual. She is a rare combination of one of my favorite traits, which I’ve written about extensively in the past: her ability to be empathic and sensitive to people’s feelings yet still maintain a clear-mindedness that allows her to analyze what is going on. That is a difficult balance to maintain, and she is a master of it.
In her book, she talks about how she brought this duality into her career as an executive, which was a very difficult proposition for her. Her boss would complain about her being too sensitive to what people were saying, and she would tell her boss, “Well, you’re not sensitive enough.”
She’s right.
I have a good friend who is an ENFP, and he is the only person I know who faced his ENFP side and has truly integrated it into his life.
