Matt started his career as a graphic designer, but his passion for the outdoors and the outdoors industry landed him a job at Sportsman's Guide, where he met his future wife, Kat. During that time, Matt worked for a number of outdoors magazines, including Sports Afield and Sportsman's Journal. In addition, he worked at a gun shop and trained guide dogs for Guide Dogs for the Blind. Fun fact: Matt is a dog lover. He took a dog sledding course in order to get a golden retriever.
Matt is a huge outdoorsman and golfer, and he has a passion for hunting, fishing, and golf. He has a degree in geology from Northern Arizona University.
Matt's Relationship History
Matt dated Kat (who is the author of the book It's Not Okay) for two years before they got married in 2011. They now have three kids together: Hush (b. 2014), Hiya (b. 2016), and Nala (b. 2018).
