Nathan personality type is ISFP, as per the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. I've found Fe to be his dominant function, as Fe is what drives his artistic and creative endeavors.
It's always interesting to me to read posts where people don't understand how Myers-Briggs works. The MBTI is a psychometrics tool for determining a person's preferences and tendencies based on their behavioral traits. The test is meant to not only determine a person's personality type, but also to identify the areas of their personality that are more dominant.
When it comes to understanding a person's personality type, this often is the only way to be able to accurately describe their behavior and tendencies. For example, I can tell you my Myers-Briggs type, ISFP, with 95% accuracy based on my personality traits. However, I cannot accurately describe myself with words I have learned from a blog or a book. I'm going to have to use MBTI principles and examples to do that.
